I want to teach this script a new language!

Although Countdown Live comes with a couple of translations already included, it's impossible to have all languages supported right at the first public release of the script. I really appreciate it when people are willing to spend some time translating the script in their language and send their work to me.

Therefore, I developed a tool in the form of a Plus! Live script which is specifically designed for those who want to translate Countdown Live. And I called it...

How to use

• The Translator window is the main window of the script. [ Screenshot ]
  Load the original English translation, load your new translation, select "Countdown Live" from the list of translation profiles and you're ready to go. In case you don't have a new translation file yet, start by making a copy of the empty translation file (*) and load that one as new translation file. The translation structure is loaded in the left panel. Every node in the structure gets a specific icon:
  • Translation strings

    - This node has a translation.
    - This node doesn't have a translation yet.
    - This node no longer exists in the profile, probably because it's no longer used. It is recommended that you remove these.

  • Translation blocks

    - All nodes in this group have a translation.
    - None of the nodes in this group have a translation yet.
    - Some nodes in this group don't have a translation yet.
    - Some nodes in this group no longer exist in the profile, probably because they're no longer used. It is recommended that you remove these.

  When you select a translation string, the right panel will be filled with the original translation and the current new translation. Every translation also gets a comment, please take not of these! You can also turn on auto-save, this will save your translation every time you change a translation string.

  Load your old translation first, then select where to save the converted translation. Finally, select the differences file (**) and click "Convert" to convert your old translation. All unused nodes will be removed, all new nodes are added and the nodes which are moved are moved. The nodes who need a (new) translation are added but left blank, so you can load the converted file in the Translator window afterwards.
